Louellen Essex was instrumental in launching the physician/scientist leadership development program at the Mayo Clinic. With her help, this leadership development program has helped numerous physician/scientists who were rising leaders work better and smarter than they would have otherwise. She has coached many active leaders to become more successful leaders than they were before they started working with her. Without her expertise and guidance, the program would not have been as successful as it has been. She has been a tremendous asset to our organization.

Louellen served as a consultant to me in merging the men’s and women’s athletics departments at the University of Minnesota. She was very effective in facilitating team development and strategic planning to make the merger successful. I could not be more satisfied with her efforts, assistance and accomplishments.
Former Director of Athletics

I have had the pleasure to work with Dr. Louellen Essex in several organizational settings. Most recently, Louellen developed a tool for the Ecumen Board of Trustees to conduct a self-evaluation. Louellen gathered the data, spent time with the Board discussing the results and then facilitated the conversation around setting Board goals. The Board members thought the time was productive, instructive and fun.
Louellen has assisted Ecumen with high-level strategy design, team building and Board work. Regardless of the challenge, she meets it with the highest level of skill and integrity. Any organization will be stronger and more effective with Louellen on the team.
